The perfect machine for me.

I wanted a sturdy, mechanical machine with a large work space. Imagine how delighted I am at the extra convenient features of the presser foot knee lever and the automatic thread cutter. No more pulling the threads back and holding them in place to prevent a thread jam. I love my machine!!

I hesitated to buy this machine since it only does straight stiching, but I am SO GLAD I purchased it!!! It is super fast (definitely need to practice to be able to quilt faster), quiet, and is a dream to quilt with. Great single stitch machine!!

I have had my juki tl 2000qi for around a month now and have fmq'd a very large king size quilt on it. The only quirk I have with it right now is how deep into the machine your hand must go to remove/ replace the bobbin (I am a woman with unnaturally lg hands though) and I was REALLY disappointed with the hardware. The bobbin tension screwdriver is very cheap, rough edged, and the… read more shank is too large to fit into the screw notch, but the cheapie Singer tool set bought at big box store is a perfect fix for this :). Although there is a "newer" model (2010) with a sub-tension unit and speed control, in my opinion, this is the better of the deal because either way you will have to learn how to deal with the speed of your machine and suitable tensions with different threads. I did get my machine super-quick !! Bought it late Tuesday night and ups dropped it off early Thursday morning :) trouble with my gift card promo and I called 5 times... No one knew really how to fix or help me until I got Dina (hope I spelled right) on the line, she was great, didn't get off the phone with me until she received my online order. Thanks so much Dina!! Overall this is a great machine and alt. to a costly Janome or Bernina but be forewarned a serviceman may require a lil trip if you live rural.

Love This Machine!

I love, love, love this machine!! I purchased this machine around the end of 2010. It is still going strong! I love the speed and control of this machine. And the foot control with the thread cutter is fabulous! I can go from one piece of fabric to the next without ever having to touch my thread snippers! I sew my own clothing and this machine's speed helps me accomplish so much more in a short amount of time. It's easy to oil and thread, although I cannot figure out the auto-threader. For years I wanted an industrial machine because of the speed, but didn't want the motor noise they produce and didn't know if anyone could carry it upstairs to my sewing room. Then there was maintenance issue; who would come to my house if I had a problem with it? This machine can easily go to the repair shop if needed. But I've never had a problem with it. It arrived packed nicely in the box. I like the large table that came with it as well. The machine is very well made and sews beautifully. I have two other Swiss machines (beginning with "B") and they don't compare to the strength of my Juki - and they cost much, much more. In fact, the computerized one is packed away in the closet. This is a fantastic machine at a very good price.

Although it is only a straight stitch machine, it works great. I am using it on my homemade quilting frame, and wow, it really has speed. I love the option of the speed control as well. Couldn't be happiet

Although I don't quilt, I exclusively work on wedding gowns and the large table is a dream. Having the ability to adapt to different fabrics with the dial- who could ask for anything more? At high speeds, it doesn't even quiver. I love having my industrial style knee lift and kudos to the thread cutter. Now, if we can just add the continous bobbin winder on the side......

This machine is great! It is a real workhorse that quietly hums when sewing. I was very impressed with the quality of the machine--its a heavy metal machine, not plastic like so many machines today. I'm using it on a Grace GQ frame. It sews great and, as an added bonus, is very pretty (in my opinion). I love it!!

Best Home Machine On the Market

I grew up using my mother's industrial machine and can honestly say I love this machine just as much. This frame has everything and with it being a package deal, machine, speed control (WHICH IS AWESOME) etc. It is a great investment.I love the fourth rail to hold my quilt batting, what a difference. I'm very pleased with the Juki except for the spool holders.

So far I love everything about it except the spool holders. Not tall enough for the tall spools of thread that I've purchased...only for regular sewing spools and cone spools. I have mostly the tall spools and am trying to find a way to keep them on the spool holder.

Finally, I didn't have to tens of thousands to get a great long arm!

Super happy to have this machine! The frame took 2/3 people to set up. That was the hardest part. Now I'm just practicing away! Juki machine seems really sturdy and well made. The frame is not jiggling or moving around - just very big - but that's a good thing!

Very Happy with my purchase:

I just finished my first quilt and was very pleased with the results. I chose to do a "tetris" style pattern without pantograph or any other stitching type aid and it came out beautifully. I did break a couple needles but only because, in my excitement, I forgot to put the foot down! I made my own leader cloths which worked just fine.The Juki performed beautifully, the carriage… read more made the movement effortless, the rollers were very easy to adjust, I found "my" speed and was able to keep the stitches pretty uniform (I'm not looking for perfect, I want my quilts to be used till they are tatters -making memories all way). New at sewing on a frame but really liking this setup.

I'm new at sewing on a frame so I'm still practicing but so far I love it. I have two quilt tops ( twin and queen size ) that I put together years ago but never finished. I'm really excited about finishing them both and then starting on my huge pile of quilting fabric.
