Great Embroidery Machine

The stitching is beautiful and the color changing of each needle is awesome. I just love how easy it is to change the QC cap driver. I am learning how to make caps. I am very happy with my SWF MAS 12 and look forward to continue learning what all it has to offer while growing my small business.

Huge learning curve

As someone who already had a multi needle, the learning curve was HUGE! After many texts and calls to both Sewing Machine plus and SWF, I now have an understanding of the machine. It’s not perfect nor is it intuitive. It does stitch great.

The videos all leave something important out. SWF is now venturing into the home market but the videos are more for an experienced… read more mechanically minded person.

I have yet to try to make a cap. I wanted to wait after the holidays. Have a big tub of ice cream to eat away my frustrations, then I’ll go for it.

Horrible Instructions with the wrong stand

This is more the manufacturer maybe, but the shipment comes with literally a ridiculous amount of foreign language (Japanese or Chinese, not sure) - not to mention, no helpful setup videos anywhere and the table came with no drilled out holes to secure the table on the stand, let alone the smaller metal bracket has no drilled holes and yes, the way it displays on the gray side is… read more not the way the table was shown.

I'd like to say customer service was better, but the last call I was told the Cd Rom is the only way the software comes and I'd have to go buy a DVD rom to get the software. I'm very tech savvy - so that's a moot point - my frustration was with the lack of concern. They are in the process of replacing my stand with the corrected one. But the manual is completely about the software (mildly helpful) and not the machine at all. For the money you're shelling out - this is horrendous! The software could be just as easily put on a USB for portability and I think this company needs to do their own quality checks and make it clear what we are getting. This machine is NOT compact by any stretch of the imagination. I'm not complaining about that - it's just not represented accurately in my opinion.
