I bought this frame so that I could quilt my tops instead of sending them out which takes months. My Brother has a throat of about 8 inches or so. You really need a machine with a wider throat. It leaves you an area of about 5.5 to 32 inches to quilt before repositioning the quilt.

I had no trouble putting it together myself and it is sturdy. I am practicing before loading a quilt top. It moves so quickly and smoothly that it is easy to let it get away from you but I am persistent and feel like I have more control everyday.
Having it level is a good idea. I live in a 102 year old house and the floors have more ups and downs than a carnival ride. A couple of books under one end worked fine.
I'm happy with the frame and think it will serve my purpose fine.

So far so good. I love that Iâm able to quilt like Iâm using a long arm. I wish the handles would have included a button to operate the machine instead of using the foot pedal to be able to stand and quilt.
