What pattern sign-up stores, why it is stored and the current deletion-contact gap.
What does sign-up store?
When you consent, we store your email address, the source page, the requested pattern, the exact consent wording, a creation timestamp and a hash made from your IP address plus a secret. The raw IP address is not saved in the subscribers table. The hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous.
Why do we store it?
To record the pattern request and permission for the monthly SewingCritic email. The download link is returned on screen after a successful save. No email service is connected in this build, so this form does not send an email. Duplicate requests update the existing email record, source, pattern, consent and IP hash; the original creation timestamp remains.
What happens if sign-up fails?
If storage or the hash secret is unavailable, the form returns a service-unavailable message. No successful subscription is claimed. A hidden form field helps drop automated submissions; this edition has no rate-limit service.
How can you unsubscribe or request deletion?
Contact: not published yet. A public contact and email unsubscribe route must be configured before sign-ups are enabled on a deployed site. There is no automated unsubscribe service in this local build.
Does this site track browsing?
No analytics or advertising scripts are included. Comparison and tool selections can appear in the page URL; we do not save them in browser storage. The host receives normal network requests. Other sites have their own privacy policies.
