Match the design to the machine’s maximum embroidery field and supported file workflow.
What does the hoop size mean?
The maximum embroidery field limits a single design placement. It is not the same as the plastic hoop’s outside dimensions. The PE545 documents a 4 × 4 in field; open each model’s maker source for its field.
Can an embroidery machine sew seams?
Some combine sewing and embroidery; others are embroidery only. The SE700 is a combination model. Do not infer ordinary seam functions from an embroidery design count.
What else will you need?
Read the manual for hoop, needle, thread and stabilizer requirements. Stabilizer supports fabric during stitching. Check transfer formats and software compatibility before buying designs; a wireless connection alone does not establish compatibility.
