Pfaff Snap-on Double Shirring Foot

My granddaughter wanted a Pettiskirt. You've seen them - layers upon layers of gathered Nylon Chiffon. I bought the fabric, spent the time to cut all those strips, sewed the waist area and attached my 5-step ruffler. Hmm. OK - got out my Singer 401A and attached THAT 5-step ruffler. Hmm. Hit the internet, and found that this foot existed. I ordered it, and tried it - I could read more not believe how well it shirred the nylon chiffon. I actually had to take the first strips I shirred and reserve them for something else, and cut replacement strips, as it shirred it about 3-4 times more full than I wanted!I've since used it on other fabrics, and (as long as they are reasonably lightweight fabrics) keep getting fabulous results. I'll try the mock smocking technique next!

I think this foot will be ideal as soon as I figure out how to use it!
