Sewing machines before plastic

I had the original case for the Singer Featherweight purchased 64 years ago by my mother but it was damaged in a small flood and then grew mildew and had to be discarded. It's wonderful to finally have a nice case again because I still use that sewing machine. It's all metal--no plastic.

Fits my Singer 221 perfectly, nicely made and sturdy. The carrying handle and latches are solid and the case has a nice weight but is not heavy. It is not the same as the original case, but it is a viable and functional replica. I prefer this case for daily use or travel as there are no worries about damaging or scratching a vintage case

Great replacement case!

Very nice case. It looks similar to the original but better. Nice smooth outside covering. The inside isn’t perfectly smooth but still good. Feels and sounds like solid wood so I will be able to attach the vintage foot pedal bracket I bought online.
