Convenient. reliable machine

I enjoy the drop in bobbin. It makes it easier to work with. Also, the threader for the needle took some getting used to, but it is very helpful if you have those over-forty eyes. This machine has a table like platform that gives you more space to work with your fabric. So far, I have found the machine to be easy to work with. My only concern is when I am sewing through 4 or more… read more layers of fabric when making masks, the needle seems to be hitting. I have learned to slow down when that happens. All in all, I enjoy this machine very much.

My new Singer Heavy Duty 4452 Sewing Machine

Having previously owned a computerized sewing machine, I found this new machine lacking in a lot of features I was used to. Now I am mostly making masks and mending clothes, no big projects anymore. This Singer HD 4452 is doing a great job, although it will jam if I don't hold onto the bobbin and spool threads when starting to stitch. I am finally catching on.

Singer 4452 makes sewing more enjoyable

I purchased this Singer 4452 for my Mom. She has always enjoyed sewing for her Family. But entry level machines can be frustrating and finicky at times. Making an upgrade to this machine has inspiring my Mother to sew more often. She even stated to me "how much more enjoyable sewing is with a little more investment in equipment. $100 more than a big box entry level machine is well… read more worth it. The best part is seeing her use the machine and enjoy the sweing process. This is all he machine we need for our purposes, its simple to use, precise, strong and fast. The next project are curtains for the entire house.

My new work horse.

So far, its been easy making the transition to the new Singer, but I like it. The zipper foot is much better than my old Singer (1960's model) - I have more control, more precision installing the zipper. It will be my new workhorse.
