It's fine really, but it is very dim. I can't really compare it to others of the same type because it's the only one I have, but it doesn't provide much light for sewing. However, it fits the machine perfectly and functions.

Initially disappointed that the bulb came broken and that it took several weeks before the replacement was actually mailed. That said, the second mailing worked well and the bulb arrived intact, so thank you for that. The customer service interface was very accomodating, too bad the execution was flawed.

When my Kenmore of 20 years burned out its lightbulb and Sears told me they no longer carried parts or service ( and there was a 25 year warranty they renigged on) , I was distraught.
