3rd generation to own a Necchi
I bought this machine because my singer would only do straight stitches and I went with the Necchi because my Maternal Grandmother had one (my mom has it) and my mother bought her one as well. I have been really enjoying it. Well worth the money I spent on it.
Love it! High quality sewing machine!
Very nice machine
It's a basic mechanical that's built solidly.
Was happy to have Necchis available again. My old Lydia was a dream machine until the plastic guts wore out.
Smooth-running motor. Excellent stitch, but if you want bells and whistles, this is not your machine. Only simple decorative styles, plus a nice buttonhole setting.

This one works for me the same way the old Kenmores did.
Two bits of quirkiness: 1-the lever to drop the feed dog is behind the bobbin door, 2-you have to fiddle with stitch length to get the decorative stitches to look good.
Overall? Worth every penny.
Hate this machine!
I detest this machine - every time I use it I spend half my time re-threading it and undoing the tangles it leaves in fabric. I wanted a simple to use machine for easy alterations. I leave it in its box and take my clothing to a seamstress instead. It's worth paying to avoid the frustration and stress.
