I sew mostly craft-type items: dog coats, dog beds, bags, quilts and curtains. I needed a reasonably priced machine that could sew through multiple layers of fabric with webbing and also make a decent buttonhole. I love my Juki 654 serger so decided to try a Juki machine instead of another Singer. The Juki sews through layers of cotton with straight even stitches and never even… read more slows down when top-stitching over seams. Something my Singer heavy-duty could not do.
