DX5
The machine is quiet and fast. The manual is not very clear.
I haven't used my new sewing machine yet but am so excited to have it ready for winter projects
A magnificent machine!!!
I'm really impressed with this machine! The price is right on, the features are just right for my needs, it's super quiet, and the machine runs like silk. I should have bought this machine instead of the Singer 9960. Thank you Juki for a magnificent machine.
Amazing machine!
Amazing machine! It is so smooth and quiet. I don't knits why I waited so long to upgrade. Such a great purchase!
Another excellent Juki for me!
I have another Juki, the TL2010, so I knew about Juki's quality when I considered this HZL DX5. I was looking for a machine able to do more than a straight stitch that was able to be programmed. I've had it over a week now, and sewn with it most days, both trying out the programmed stitches, sewing garments and piecing quilt blocks. I love the features on this machine - the pivot function is awesome and lets you keep both hands on your fabrics to ensure alignment or to remove pins at the right spot. The automatic threader works very well for me, and the bobbin winding function works great - just wish it filled the bobbins a bit more full for when I use a slider on the surface. The stitch quality is beautiful and the decorative stitches all you can want. The machine is quiet, also bobbin winding is quiet. The walking foot is a bit noisier, but not unpleasantly so. Walking foot works great and has a guide that can be used right or left side. Very convenient. The only negative for me as a US resident is that the inch measurements on the stitch plate are at the back and metric at the front. Not a dealbreaker for me, and it's actually us that are out of step with the rest of the world. I love this machine already, and I have not free motion quilted with it yet.
