I love the Emerald 116! My mom and I have each had one for years, and after our house fire we each knew we wanted the same machine again. I make all my own clothes, and this machine is wonderful!

The presser foot lift doesn't lift high enough making it impossible to sew anything bulky. Also, the stitch guide is confusing at best. It's all plastic!

I love this machine. I bought my last one about 18 years ago. I let someone borrow and they never returned it. I got the Emerald 116 for the price and the product brand. Works perfectly!!! Surprised it was made in Tiawan from Husgvarna Viking designs.

Love this machine. I replace a 25 year old Husky and it is quite an upgrade. Exactly what I was looking for, straight forward, em easy to use, work horse machine. No frills necessary.

This is a workhorse, but it is extremely basic. I think I need a bit more technology to help me out. The presser foot lever does not go up the extra 1/4 inch as it claimed it was supposed to do for the third position. It has only two positions, down and regular.
