Does not work on plush terry cloth

Have used the hoop on towels without a plush terry and it was great. Thought I had an answer to my prayers. Next tried it on a very plush oversized bath towel and the hoop separated as I was stitching a design. Thankfully, I was close by and able to stop my machine. Two hours of picking out stitches! Had to resort to perfect stick stabilizer as hoop would not hold.
Test it right away-magnet may be defective

One side was not magnetic and would not hold the fabric. I am waiting to get a return authorization to send it back. I f you buy one be sure to test it asap to be sure it holds well.
