I really love everything about this serger, except that I only have owned one for six months and the timing went out. In the shop right now. However, I am seriously thinking about purchasing another one.

Somewhat Disappointed...

I received my machine about a week or so ago, and I just opened the box today to start on some project work, but the machine did not sew. I had to call in for service and am currently waiting to get some assistance. :-(

Nifty Machine

I have sewn for years, Have always used a Brother serger. I wouldn't live without one. They do a wonderful job. Easy to use and thread. Also, I like the price of this machine. Well worth it.

Clunky Noise

It seems to sew good, but I am not acostume to the loudness. Seems as though needs oil or something. Other than that, it is easy to thread.

Love my new serger!

I've wanted a serger for a long time and when I found this one, at such a good price, I couldn't pass it up. The only thing missing was the thread spool cones, but cheap ones from Amazon were a quick fix. I'm very pleased with how easy it's been to use, even for a beginner!

Great serger

I am a beginner sewer and this machine has been super easy to use. The threading directions are easy and it's sewn fabulosly. I've used it for a handful of projects and each has sewn out great. And you can't beat the price.

Brother 1034 D Serger

I enjoy using it. I would certaily recommend it for economy and performance. However I wouid prefer an instruction book as opposed to instructions on a disk.

When my package arrived with my new serger 1034D inside I was so excited, I quickly opened it and set it up, it was ready to sew! It runs so smoothly and very easy to operate, I just love it! I will have a beautiful finished seams on my grandchildrens outfits that I make for them.

Review of Brother 1034D 3 / 4 Thread Differential Feed Serger with Rolled-hem Stitch

I have only used it a few times so far and I am new to a serger but so far it has been much easier to use than it looked. I did look on youtube.com for a tutorial and found that very helpful. I haven't had to rethread it yet but the tutorial gave info on that and also some tips that I didn't find in the book. Actually the book wasn't worth anything to someone that had never used… read more a serger before.

This machine is not the least bit forgiving if not threaded perfectly. It has frustrated me horribly. I have felt like tossing it out the door more than once. When it is working, the stitches are beautiful. That is the only thing that earned any stars. Hopefully it and I will get along better soon.

My ancient serger finally died in the middle of a volunteer project. I ordered this to replace it and I love it - assisted threading is great and it runs like a dream. SMP shipped it promptly and I was able to complete the project on time.

Don't Buy That Linked Overlock Thread

You need to be aware that if you buy the overlock thread set linked to on the product page with this serger, that it will not actually work on this machine, and there are no adapters to make it work. What a ripoff. I certainly won't be buying thread from this place again.
