Bernette B38 Sewing Machine Review

Love my new machine!

I have wanted this machine for a year now, with the rate of inflation and the great price I paid for this now, I am very pleased. Machine is of excellent quality and easy to use. Great price point for a Bernina product. Just received the extra feet yesterday and cannot wait to use the 1/4" piecing foot for a project I currently have laid out. Excellent stitch quality.

Fun upgrade!

I purchased this machine to replace a 1960’s Singer, which I loved... this Bernette is such a fun upgrade and a great introduction into computerized machines. It was very easy to set up with the help of the online videos.

Excellent upgrade

I LOVE this machine. It's a huge upgrade from my previous mechanical machine. Once you learn all the basics and your machine can't handle intermediate/advanced stitches, this is an excellent upgrade choice. This machine is made by Bernina and it's got the bells and whistles I wanted without the hefty price tag.

Awesome Machine but waiting on rest of order

Love this sewing machine - However, I did not receive the pad nor the 10 foot set that I chose. Also, am curious why you would make a cover and leave an opening in it for dust to get on machine. Is there supposed to be a clear panel thst goes into the space?

Very Smooth Sewing!

Received this machine for my birthday last year. It runs quietly and sews smoothly. I've oiled it only twice since I've owned it and haven't had any issues thus far. It's a very sturdy and low maintenance machine. I highly recommend!

Comparable to the all mighty Bernina at a much better price!

My mother has a new Bernina and I can't tell much of a difference from my new Bernette accept the price! I love my Bernette!!

Very satisfied thus far.

So far I am very pleased with the machine, and the instruction manual has been easy to read and instructions easy to follow. The machine has performed well with nice features. Haven't used all the stitches yet, but the few I've tried are nice and look good.

An absolute joy to sew with.

This is without a doubt the best sewing machine I've had. There were a few hiccups I had at first getting used to it, but it was simply the learning curve I had to get through with a new machine. It's a tiny finicky with thinner material, but a bit of tissue paper helps that greatly. If you're debating about getting this machine, go for it! Nice machine, but defective, Bobbin won't thread up

I received this machine on March 08, 2022 (Fed Ex). Opened on March 09, 2022, machine did not thread up the bobbin , contacted Sewing Machines Plus for Tech Support. Tech Support contacted me on March 15, 2022. Scott, Tech, determined machine was defective and needs to be returned. I am rating this machine 2 stars as it appears very nice but this machine did not operated properly.
The… read more company sent an RMA to return the machine. I am sending back via Fed Ex today March 16, 2022.

I am currently asking for a full refund of my purchase.

Good machine. Terrible vendor.

I got missing parts that are supposed to cone standard with the b38 and paid $99 for a pair of scissors because that’s the only items from the sewing essentials package that showed up. Extremely displeased. Calling about this matter because it is 100% unacceptable.
