Great for Beginners

I have only sewed a few hours on this machine so far but as a completely beginner sewer (never used a machine before) I’m highly satisfied with my purchase so far. Be aware there’s no overlock stitch.

Machine is nice normal size. Im not an expert on sewing machines, but for what I need its perfect. I had borrowed a brother machine feom a friend and this one works the same. Same functions and size. It seems pretty sturdy too. Im happy so far.

So far, it’s been a really good basic machine. Had heard of Babylock in the embroidery arena. Glad I bought it but disappointed in customer service who would not call back or email back to numerous requests during shipping delay.

Great portable machine!

I only do occasional sewing and repairs these days, so I needed a basic machine that wouldn't break the bank. This is a surprisingly well made machine and really fit the bill. I also love that it's portable, and the carrying handle is a nice touch. I can easily store it when not in use. The instructions were very well written and easy to follow. Great machine!

I really bought this machine as a backup to the 44 year old Pfaff that I love. I have to say this Babylock Zest is quite nice and very sturdy. I thought it would be just okay but I have used it and I'm very pleased with the stitches and the performance. This is not a machine that has all the bells & whistles of many of the new machines. This is a lovely little machine at a great price! I couldn’t even find one second hand any cheaper, but it certainly doesn’t come off as poor quality, I’ve completed a few projects already and I’m really enjoying using it. I’m not a beginner but almost, and I think it would suit people new to sewing very well. Otherwise I would say it’s great for intermediates.
