I decided to get into sewing, and after watching some videos online I decided to go with the Baby Lock Presto II because of all the great automatic features that seemed to take the tedious parts of sewing away. I wanted the machine to make quilts and apparel and since this is my first sewing machine I wanted the learning curve to be easy. I found the machine on SewingMachinePlus.com… read more and ordered it. It shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition. Even though it’s a pricey machine, it’s worth it so far. I’ve made two shirts so far with ease. The manual has great instructions and is very detailed and easy to read. I love the automatic features (the needle threader, thread cutter, backstitch/reinforcement buttons, and how it tells you what foot to use based on what stitch you select. This machine makes sewing easy!

I am still getting to know my machine, but I have wound some bobbins and used the auto threader a couple of times. I have made some quilt blocks and love the auto cutter. I played around with the decorative stitches and fonts. So far not disappointed.

The machine is great. The only problem is that when it sews on full speed, it has a terrible vibration. The whole thing shakes, and the faster you sew, the more it shakes. We added another bumper to the bottom front and that helped a little, but it is still not right.
